This course brings two of our most popular programs together to give kids a FUN experience with Game Making, while providing instruction on essential skills for Microsoft Office and Typing.  The Game Making portion will be conducted during the morning, and the Microsoft Office and Typing will be done in the afternoon. 

The children will get a good balance of both of these classes, If you have a child who is in 4th grade or above, you know they will need to prepare book reports, presentations, graphs and charts.  Give your child the computer skills they need so they can focus on the project rather than the mechanics.  Proficiency in these skills will become a vital need as your child progresses thru middle school and high school. 

Objectives - In morning segment of this class your child will learn how to use the Games Factory console to create their own games.  They will utilize their creativity, while learning logic, sequencing and design concepts.

In the afternoon segment of this class, your child will focus on typing skills, learning Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  They will use Microsoft Word to write their own memoir, autobiography, or short story.  Second, your child will learn basics of Microsoft Excel, including formatting, creating charts & graphs and writing simple formulas to create a DIGITAL PIGGY BANK.  Third, he/she will learn the fundamental PowerPoint skills needed to prepare a presentation for a school project.  Finally, your child will learn how NOT to plagerize and how NOT to violate trademark and copyright laws when using sources on the internet.  

What to Bring - While it is not necessary, it would be helpful if your child had a project, story, or perhaps autobiography in mind.  Digital pictures would be helpful to create a more detailed presentation on a topic of interest.
